It's crucial that their service isn't interrupted. Other family members in other rooms will use DirecTV with different coax outputs. It's currently activated for DirecTV, but I don't use the service in that room. Would a box need to be installed on the side of the house like with AT&T?Ĭould I use the coax port that DirecTV installed in my room for the modem? It's the only coax installation that's convenient to use in my case. ![]() If the line needs to be buried, could I use a temporary line laid on the ground? Would the install only take one day, or would it take multiple due to other factors (like burying cables, installing needed components, etc)? I'm unsure as to whether the lines here are aerial or buried. Since there's no prior Comcast installation, I was wondering what the process would be like for me. The house that we moved into has had AT&T internet since it was built, and we're replacing it with Xfinity. This might sound like a stupid question, but this is the first time that I'm doing something like this.
